Ruth for Find a Nursing Home
Continuing care

The West Midlands, once the heartland of the industrial revolution, now hosts a vibrant multi-cultural community in this regenerated region. It has been a metropolitan county since 1974 and the facilities and resources of county town Birmingham bring the area alive with opportunity. Excellent transport links by road, rail and air, coupled with its central position in the UK, make the West Midlands an ideal place to look for a residential, care or nursing home, whether you currently reside in the area or not.

As well as Birmingham, major towns include Wolverhampton, Dudley and Walsall to the West, Coventry to the East and Solihull to the South. Amongst the vast urban areas around Birmingham lie pockets of lovely rural countryside, such as that around Stourbridge, once famous for crystal glass, and Halesowen. Even in the centre of built up areas there are leafy and attractive suburbs that provide attractive accommodation, such as Solihull and Edgbaston, perfect locations for a nursing home in an attractive yet suburban environment.

There are also areas of rural idyll to the east of the region between Birmingham and Coventry. Some challenging golf courses and some beautiful villages are all within easy reach of Birmingham Airport and Birmingham International railway station. Birmingham Arena, Convention Centre, Hippodrome and NEC are all venues that hold a huge variety of entertaining events and all are accessible by the elderly and disabled.

Whatever you are looking for in a nursing home, the West Midlands hosts a wide choice covering the broad spectrum of size, location and the type of care required.
